Accessible shower: step-free made-to-measure shower trays
A step-free, anti-slip, made-to-measure shower: the safest, most accessible solution.
Configure my trayAn accessible shower is one you walk or wheel into, with no step to clear and a floor that does not slip. The starting point is a made-to-measure resin tray fitted flush with the floor: it removes the barrier, cuts the risk of falls and turns any bathroom into a safe space for older people or those with reduced mobility. Made to your exact gap, the shower sits level with the rest of the flooring, with no changes in height or joints to trip over.
What makes a shower accessible
- Floor-level, no step: level access on foot or by wheelchair. We explain the flush fitting in installing the tray flush with the floor.
- C3 anti-slip class under UNE-ENV 12633: the highest level, made for floors wet with soap. We go into it in class 3 (C3) anti-slip.
- A smooth, continuous surface, easy to clean and with no relief to get in a chair’s way. The Smooth tray is the right choice.
- A generous, made-to-measure size: it leaves room for a seat or a carer. Formats like 80×120 or 90×120 work very well, and any other dimension we cut to measure.
Made for older people
If you are adapting a relative’s bathroom, this tray is the starting point for the whole refit. The continuous surface makes washing easier, the C3 grip brings peace of mind, and floor level does away with the step-up that causes so many falls. We cover all the detail in the shower tray for older people and accessibility guide. Each tray leaves our Murcia factory with the trap and grate included, ready to set flush.
Pair it for a fully adapted shower
The tray is the base, but accessibility is rounded off with well-anchored grab bars, a folding seat and a thermostatic tap to prevent scalding. Over a floor-level tray, these elements work far better. You can pick the finish in Smooth or Slate and the tone within the colours chart so it ties in with the rest of the bathroom.
Frequently asked questions
Can a wheelchair go into the tray? Yes, if it is fitted flush with the floor and in a generous size. That is why we recommend formats like 90×120 or larger, made to your gap.
Is C3 anti-slip enough for older people? It is the most demanding class in the standard for wet surfaces, which is why it is the one for accessible showers. Combined with grab bars, it offers the highest safety.
