Ultra-flat shower tray: the advantages of a low profile
Ultra-flat shower trays have become the standard in modern renovations. Their low profile (the resin is around 2.5–3 cm thick) brings real advantages that go beyond looks.
1. Floor-level aesthetics
The low profile allows a finish that sits flush with the floor, with no step. The result is a more spacious, seamless bathroom. We explain it all in our floor-level installation guide.
2. Accessibility
No step = comfortable, safe entry, including for the elderly or those with reduced mobility (see accessible shower).
3. Easier cleaning
Fewer corners and joints than a bathtub or a high tray. The resin surface wipes clean in moments.
4. Good drainage
A well-made ultra-flat tray comes with the slope already calculated towards the drain, and our trays include a free trap and grille.
What about strength?
Slim doesn’t mean fragile: mineral-filled resin is highly resistant to impacts and weight. It’s also class C3 non-slip.
